Shreeja Accomplishments

  • In 2018, six out of 10 girls passed the school leaving examinations successfully. In 2019, four girls out of eight passed their school leaving examination. In 2020, 16 out of 21 girls passed. Each one of these girls is continuing their education thereafter under the mentorship of Shreeja India.
  • The Shreeja India football team has won several local tournaments. This has helped in enhancing their confidence and self-esteem.
  • The Football & Beyond program has won two prestigious awards – (1) Williamson Magor Education Trust Award for Excellence in Extra-curricular Activities at TTEF Awards 2017; (2) The TTEF Award for ‘A School that Cares’ (The Telegraph School Awards for Excellence 2019)
  • Students enrolled in the program who pass their class 10 board exams are provided scholarship every year for further studies by ‘The Telegraph Education Foundation’
  • Students enrolled in Shreeja India academy who pass their class 10 and 12 board exams are now trained and equipped. They are teaching the younger children in their respective villages. This is helping to create a sustainable educational model to uplift the backward communities.

Speacial Awards :

  • Shreeja India won the ‘NGO of the Year’ Award for ‘Empowering Women’ at the NGO Awards Summit (Season 2).
  • A Shreeja Girl won the 'Outstanding Talent in Sports’ award at the Telegraph Education Awards 2021.

The Beyond Football program Beyond Football changes to Football & Beyond. has won two other awards:

  • Williamson Magor Education Trust Award for Excellence in Extra-curricular Activities, 2017
  • Award for 'A School that Cares’ (The Telegraph School Awards for Excellence 2019).

Academic :

In 2022, 45 out of 49 Shreeja girls have successfully passed their school leaving examinations and some of the Shreeja Girls are already pursuing undergraduate degrees now from the beneficiary villages.

The graphical representation given above shows the continuous rise in the number of tribal girls appearing for ‘Madhyamik’ and ‘Uccha Madhyamik’ examinations each year and the persistently increasing ‘Pass’ rate over a period of 5 years, from 2017 to 2022.

Sports (Football) :

  • One of Shreeja Girls is under consideration for the India U-17 Football Team for the 2024 World Cup.
  • Sonali Soren, a Shreeja girl is playing U-17 State-level Football as part of Bengal Football Team.
  • Four of Shreeja Girls regularly play for top teams in Kolkata Senior Football League.
